About Us

About our Daycare

We are committed to providing the highest quality child care to your children.

Our center focuses on helping each child grow intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. We respect each child’s individuality and provide activities to help each child grow at their own pace.

The relationship between parents and our staff is vital to the success of the child. A partnership must be formed with open communication and an understanding that the development and growth of the child is our priority.

We hope to work together with you to build a brighter future for your child. We welcome your ideas and suggestions to help your child grow and achieve their goals.

Our Curriculum

We view our curriculum as everything that happens during our time together with the children. Our curriculum is based and inspired by approaches to early childhood education.

Our curriculum incorporates writing, language skills, math, dramatic play, sensory experiences, art, and block building.

Although your child’s schedule varies somewhat day to day, a typical flow of a day’s activities are as follows:

Activities specific to the weekly or monthly theme are presented along with basic activities such as puzzles, manipulatives, dramatic play, blocks, etc.

Group times are child centered participation times. The planned group activities include reading, music, movement, finger plays, dramatization, games, and experience stories.

The playground is an extension of the classroom where children can participate in an activity of their choosing. Inclement weather, special events, or celebrations will occasionally affect the scheduling of outdoor time. Outdoor play is encouraged for children of all ages by the state.

Children are encouraged to sit while they eat, use their manners and to participate in quiet conversations.

Children are given the opportunity to nap or rest each day.

Our Staff

Our director, Jessica Engle, has always had a great passion for working with children. After graduating from high school, she decided to start working in a child care center. She knew she enjoyed working with children and this gave her an opportunity to start working towards her goal of becoming a teacher. While working at child care center she decided to get her Director’s credentials from the State of Texas. She worked as Director in a child care center while going to college to become a bilingual teacher. While working in the child care center she worked in every room from infants to school agers. She also had the opportunity to work on the administration side.

Mrs. Engle earned her Master’s degree in Educational Management with Principal Certification from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Mrs. Engle is a certified principal by the State of Texas for Early Childhood through 12th grade. While working in Pasadena ISD she taught in the second and fourth grade level and was in charge of various committees at the school such as math and reading.

Mrs. Engle uses her experience working in child care, teaching in elementary, and what she learned in her graduate studies to pprovide quality care to your child.

We hire qualified teachers to nurture and grow your children. Each teacher is required to complete 24 hours of professional development training annually on various topics relating to early childhood education and abuse/neglect. All our teachers are CPR and first aid certified.
